The Question Behind The Question®

Helping Organizations Make

Personal Accountability a Core Value

Time for a new John G. Miller book …

Yep, it’s time. People ask, “John, when’s the next book coming out?” and I’ve been saying, “Don’t know if I have one in me!” It’s like being a songwriter, you have to hear the song in your mind before you can write the song. Well, an author has to feel a book inside before he can write it! So, it’ll be published by Putnam (Penguin) just as QBQ! and Flipping the Switch are. It’ll be on the market, in stores and at QBQ.com in early 2010. If you want to help, just email me at John@QBQ.com the answer to this question: “What’s the dumbest thing you’ve ever seen an organization do?” That’s not what the book is about, but your input just might be “fodder” we can use! Thanks for helping!  John

  2. The dumbest thing is having people keep a job for 10+ years yet they not keep up with the times or education and they actually are preventing the organization from growing. If they can’t keep up or pursue additional education as required or needed and turn things to “their” way of thinking as in, “don’t rock the boat, I’ll be retiring in 3-5 more years so no issues, hide them”. I think everyone needs to take a yearly test on the changes that are needed and/or their input on ideas and suggestions, (own it), or move aside for someone who will. Us little people get our toes stepped on so much, myself, I probably only have 2 left. We need more of “A POSITIVE ATTITUDE FOR POSITIVE CHANGES”.
