“John, you know what I was just thinking about yesterday? Can you imagine what would happen if every person in the three branches of US gov’t were REQUIRED to read “QBQ!” and “Flipping the Switch” before entering office?!? What a difference that could make! And don’t even get me started on the impact it would have if they all PRACTICED the QBQ! This nation would be turned around instantly! No more entitlement thinking, no more finger pointing, no more blaming the other party! But then, I guess we wouldn’t have “politics” anymore – maybe not a bad thing. Have you ever thought about using your influence (Dave Ramsey and many others would pitch in, I’m sure) to try to pierce the heart of the US government with personal accountability? If you were ever thinking about doing this, I would be first in line to help support you in any way you need! “

My daughter, Kristin, and I spoke in Grand Island, Nebraska recently. This is definitely middle America and what some East and West Coast elites call “fly over” country. Personally, I think it’s the heart and soul of our fine nation and where some wonderful, old-fashion, core beliefs still live. With a crowd of 500, I simply made the comment that, “In these tough economic times, we can talk about Wall St. greed, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and those evil lenders with their predatory practices. But maybe – just maybe – we should talk about the consumer who made choices, signed mortgages, and went deeply into debt.” When that comment was delivered, the heads nodding caused such a wind I almost was blown off the stage! You see, the people of America get it. They understand that personal accountability is all about making better choices and OWNING each and every choice I make. That’s a great way to live life!

Enjoy some more on those Nebraska QBQ! sessions here:
